There’s a movement in Acadiana. For Active, the movement we talk about is a better way of living life by experiencing it through fitness and activity. Through this effort we envision a source of information that enables those interested to endeavor such activities. We hope to present a publication that exposes the best of what our area and the surrounding areas offer in the form of an opportunity to be active. We love seeing new bicycle paths in areas that were once nothing but car and truck nightmares. We love seeing outdoor spaces transformed into playing fields to let kids and adults alike enjoy more of the natural beauty of our area, and less of the concrete sprawling jungle that some cities unfortunately turn into. Everyone knows the direct connect between fit lifestyles and better health, but we want to show our communities involvement in these changes and spotlight the people who are promoting it the most.
